It somehow feels like my zodiac sign is the collector, I am site specific in the ascendant and born in the hustle and bustle of everyday Life.

Nyt Børne og Sundhedshus Gellerup
A lot of time has luckily been spent in Gellerupparken in Århus together with Sigrids Stue, in connection with the project "A place is a network" for a New Children and Health House, initiated by Aarhus Municipality. Construction is delayed, but the plan is now to realize it in April 2022. And we are ready: Materials have been collected from various now closed institutions in the area. Talks, visits and walks, and workshops. The project is initiated by Aarhus Municipality, with the Statens Kunstfond and Århus Billedkunstråd as partners and the art platform Sigrid's Stue as an anchoring partner. In addition, I applied for Kirsten and Gunner-fonden, and thereby we can now realize a large outdoor stone / staircase landscape for Børne og Sundhedshuset,
Vestervigtrapperne
In Vestervig (a small village in Thy) a project The stairs of Vestervig, that was realized in 2019 seems to keep on evolving. It pops up with new stones and stories and connections every time you are there. Thisted municipality said yes to a small extra grant, and then we could cast the table that has always been missing, and get new old stairs made of stone that has emerged to the surface, planted a little more and made more paths and strengthened the coherence and anchorage to the rest of the city.
Bispebjerg galaxy
The commission for Nyt Bispebjerg Hospital is one of the longer-lasting projects, with many digressions, side gains, stories and discoveries along the way. But gradually the clay has been burned, the wood is dry, the workshop has been moved, textiles have been found. The project takes me far and wide to places and people. But even though construction is a postponed one year, something is approaching in the horizon. I applied for money from the architecture committee of the Statens Kunstfond - and it now results in a study trip to see architect and designer Carlo Scarpa's building and installation of artifacts in the spring of 2022.
With the title KUP- Female universe in the province, 2021 was kicked off well. NUGalleri in Næsteved had invited and after several meetings and trips we (Heidi Hove, Kristina Ask, Dorthe Buchwald, Sarah Bodil Tierney, Ulla Hvejsel, Jette Ellgaard, Lotte Juul Petersen) made an exhibition. At the harbor (!) In Næstved, I happily walked around between mountains of discarded glass and flat screens. We will continue the meetings in KUP in 2022.
Worked by the surroundings
Hollufgaard is originally an old manor house, now a production site and residency for artists etc. Its tumultuous history and connection between archeology, art production and museum, I tried to excavate and thereby build my own production workshop. Here I found strips, and silver paper and flint. The exhibition lasted from June to October, and had a detour to the Funen Art Museum's exhibition room.
Grave monuments. Jakob Fabricius arranged an exhibition about grave monuments and I handed over a kind of recipe. The exhibition was shown in Aarhus Kunsthal and Seoul.
The exhibition community Lokale in Griffenfeldsgade has been the focal point for meetings and exhibitions throughout the year. I was especially involved in a textile exhibition, where Mette Høyen showed her weavings at the same time as I with Åse Eg Jørgensen, made 3 mini-about-textile exhibitions: Åse and mine books on textiles, Kirsten Jensen's stamp collection with textile motifs, and Hemslöjd an accumulation of weaves and yarn. It appeared at an abandoned house in Sweden, which revealed a weaver's remains with up to several looms (folded, they can lie nicely on the roof of a Suzuki Ignis), sacks of plant-dyed yarn, old rag rugs, etc. We picked it up and drove to Lokale. Thanks to the Nørgaard family in Sweden.
There will be more continuations and new beginnings on projects in 2022, among other things I have been invited to be a member of the artists' association Jutland, and I look forward to being a part of it. In June there will be an exhibition in Lokale (Steneren in Lokale) that will unfold the projects and show stones and conglomerates and texts and stories and pictures from the projects.
